About Katherine

Turning curiosity about sustainability into action through simple, real-life changes and ongoing learning.

I’m Katherine Kidd

I’m from Uruguay and have been living in Australia for the past 10 years.

I’ve always been interested in environmental issues, although for a long time I felt that my individual actions couldn’t really make a difference. I was also frustrated by the general lack of interest I saw in people when it came to changing habits.

Over time, and especially through traveling, I realised there are many people who are committed to doing things differently, and that there are more of us every day. Since moving to Australia, learning about the environment, climate change, and sustainability has become part of my everyday life.

In 2023 I completed a diploma in Sustainable Operations, and this blog is my way of sharing what I know and what I continue to learn. My goal is to make ideas, information, and tools more accessible to encourage real change, not only for the planet, but also for our health and wellbeing.

We are at a key moment to rethink how we live and the impact we have. It is becoming increasingly clear that our current way of life is not sustainable. As Sir David Attenborough said:
“Anything that cannot go on forever is, by definition, unsustainable.”

Because real change starts in everyday life.
